Questions to ask on the first phone call with an Umrah agent
A first phone call is a good moment to find out whether an agent is clear and patient. Have a pen ready and write down the answers, then ask for the same things in a message.
Begin with the basics. Ask for the dates available, the total price for your group size and what the price covers. If the agent cannot give a total, ask when they can.
Ask about the hotels. How many nights are in each city, how far is each hotel from the mosque, and is the distance in metres or minutes? Ask what room type is included and how many people share.
Ask about flights. Which airline, which departure city, direct or with a stopover, and what baggage is allowed?
Ask about people with special needs. If you have older parents or small children, say so early and ask what help is available.
Ask about paperwork. What documents does the agent need from you, by what date and in what format? Ask for the list as a message.
Ask about payment. What is the deposit, when is the rest due, and how will you receive a receipt?
End the call by asking the agent to send everything in writing. A good agent will not mind.
